The Project

In 2018, NYCHA began allowing alternative work schedules (AWS) for their staff in addition to the traditional 8AM to 4:30PM schedule. However, the success of the program faced a variety of barriers. PPL collaborated with NYCHA to analyze their implementation of alternative work schedules and generate recommendations for the NYCHA transformation plan.

The Outcome

We presented six recommendations to NYCHA to improve the alternative work schedules. These recommendations address work schedules, staffing levels, and other factors for AWS success. Recommendations aim to amend the AWS program to better meet the expressed needs of all NYCHA stakeholders.
