Roundtables on Community Health Strategy

How might we leverage community expertise to generate concrete solutions that promote health and create health equity?

The Project

PPL convened community members and community leaders in three cities — Buffalo, Pittsburgh, and Mobile — to explore the impact of economic stagnation, transportation access, and social inequality on health and wellbeing in disadvantaged communities.

The Outcome

Based on what we heard, we identified common themes, insights, and opportunities for future action. Opportunities focused on connecting residents to economic opportunities, creating stronger supports for renters, mitigating the mental health effects of poverty, and building community networks of trust-based relationships.
