How to Play (Online Version)

1. Identify phase: Think of a current project you are working on and select the phase of that project you are currently in.
2. Choose a present method: Browse the present method cards and select a method that you could use in your current phase of work for your project. 
3. Choose a futures method: Browse the futures method cards and discuss how you would adapt your present method with this future lens.
4. Use methods: Try out methods with your team for current and future policy challenges.

Phases

The phase cards show the five phases of work in a typical PPL project.

Present Methods

The present methods cards depict key design research and policy innovation activities. These cards are tagged by multiple phases because in practice, most methods don’t stay neatly in one. 

Futures Methods

The futures methods cards depict foresight strategies that prompt the team to consider and design for possible futures.
