The Public Service Design Kit: All Tomorrow’s Policies is a card deck that equips teams with methods to design both now-state and longer-term, more systemic policy solutions simultaneously. It is based on All Tomorrow’s Policies, a paper by PPL director Chelsea Mauldin, published in the proceedings of the 34th World Design Congress. The card deck also serves as a sequel to PPL’s original Public Service Design Kit. The full deck is available on our merch store.
The kit is made up of forty cards:
You can download, print (double-sided required), and cut out your own deck of cards at the link below, or just view all of the cards online.
The phase cards show the five phases of work in a typical PPL project.

The futures methods cards depict foresight strategies that prompt the team to consider and design for possible futures. This is a necessary step when designing more systemic policy changes that require a longer implementation timeline.

This is the second version of the deck, and we plan to keep building on it. If you have any questions about how to use the deck or suggestions about what to include, send us an email at info@publicpolicylab.org. We’d love to hear from you!
